Currently

I'm listening to my hubby play football on his PS3, this is a very normal occurrence in our home. He enjoys his games and I enjoy games on my ipad, surfing school ideas, blogging, or just wasting time online.

I'm loving the weekend so far with my hubby and kids. We have been getting school supplies and clothes for the beginning of the school year. My kids will be in Kindergarten in the fall. I'm excited, nervous and many other things I can't explain.

I'm thinking of all of the things that I need to get done before my students arrive on August 26th. I have my list of things I need to do at home to have my kids ready. The list of things that I need to do in my room. Plus, a list of things that I need to make before school starts.

I want to go to bed right now, since it is 12:26am, but I can't turn my brain off.

I need to plan my twins 5th birthday party. The hard part is picking a date when family from Michigan are here and when family here has time off of work.
B2S
1.  I can't wait to download my copy of the Teacher's Classroom Organizer http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Teachers-Classroom-Organizer-Who-Has-It-Together-715776
It will help me be super organized as well as go along with my Owls in my room. Did I mention there are Owls?
2. My Sharpie chart markers are a must each year. I LOVE them.

3. Organized classroom, I can't say enough about how important it is. I can't stand a cluttered classroom, I'm sure there will be at least one student in my room that will feel the same way. Even when I'm not in my room, I'm organizing in my mind. ;)

Setting up my room.

I'm in the process of setting up my classroom with the help from my "helpers". So many things that have to be done before I can make it owl-ful. :) I really can't wait to get my iPads out, set up and get the kids showing me what they can do.

Christmas in July

This school year, I went through the application, and interview process to become a Pinnacle Leader in my School as well as district. Today was our first day of training and I found out all of the goodies that I will be using in the classroom.

1) Dell laptop
This tech geek is so excited. My head is swimming with all of the new information. I'm familiar with iOS, so it hasn't been too difficult. I'm already looking forward to tomorrow, but my brain needs rest.

2) MacBook Pro
3) Teacher iPad
4) 5 student iPads with Otter Box covers
5) Charging station
6) $100 to spend on Apps

Owls

All of the Owl things that I found for my classroom. Can't wait to set it up.

Blogging

I've tried to blog about personal things, family things and school things. I was pretty successful blogging about family things when my kids were infants, but haven't kept up much in the past year. I'm going to give it a shot blogging again, and see how it goes.

I've spent a bunch of time this summer thinking about next year and how I want my classroom to look and run. I decided on an Owl theme for the room, I won't go crazy, but I want it to look nice. I was able to find some cute owl things from Carson Dellosa and they have coordinating dot pattern. I'm so excited to be able to get back in my room, set up the furniture and get decorating.

I have Pinnacle training this week Monday through Thursday. I will be learning more about technology with a great group of peers. I can't wait to see what they have planned for us. I'm also looking forward to some adult interactions, I've spent my weekdays with my kidos and ready for some real conversations. :)
